Foreign Service Officer Test: February 2009

Foreign Service Officer Test Update:

January 26, 2009

Many more people have scheduled a seat in February than in any other FSOT window.  Because of this increased interest in the FSOT, we have reached the worldwide scheduling limit.  This means that, although seats and computers may be available in certain geographically limited locations both domestically and overseas, no new examinees will be allowed to schedule a seat.  If an examinee who has scheduled a seat cancels, however, then a seat becomes available for another candidate, assuming the second candidate registered early enough to receive an invitation to schedule for February’s test.  Since it is impossible to anticipate when cancellations will occur, those wishing to test may want to periodically recheck the online scheduling system to see if any appointments have opened up.
