Ambassador Visits Fine Art Institutes in Sarajevo and Banja Luka

On Feb. 17th the Ambassador was hosted at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo by Dean Nusret Pasic, himself a well known painter, and Academy Professors Salem Obralic and Mustafa Skopljak.  The Ambassador was given an in-depth tour of the Academy and introduced to all of its departments and the works of the students.  The following day, in Banja Luka, the Ambassador visited the Department for Fine Arts and the Republika Srpska Contemporary Art Gallery, where he met with Gallery directors and local artists, and viewed the works of current and past students.  The visits to the galleries were to promote a future joint exhibit with art students from Sarajevo and Banja Luka and encourage further collaborations between artists from BiH’s two entities.
