Bosnian High School Students Prepare for Departure to U.S
March 25, 2007
Fifteen Bosnian high school students and three teachers from Livno, Tuzla, and Banja Luka participated in an orientation March 22-25 to prepare for their departure to the U.S. in April. The students and teachers are this year’s participants in the Embassy’s "Youth Leadership Program" which aims to help them develop their leadership skills and ideas for civic involvement in their respective communities. The participants live with host families in the state of Delaware during most of their stay in the U.S., and they also visit Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, and New York City. During the orientation, the students and teachers had the opportunity to "meet" their future host families via digital video conference.
