US Embassy in BiH hosts reception in the honor of NATO's offering of intensified dialogue to BiH

April 18, 2008

Recognizing the success of BiH when NATO offered intensified dialogue to Bosnia and Herzegovina at the recent Bucharest Summit, the US Embassy in  Bosnia and Herzegovina organized a reception hosted by the Head of the Banja  Luka branch office of the US Embassy Heidi Hakone Louise Jovanovic.

BiH and  entity officials from numerous institutions attended the reception held on April 17 in Banja Luka. This was an excellent opportunity to underscore  the importance of the establishment of the inter-agency NATO Coordination Team, under the able leadership of Deputy Defense Minister Igor Crnadak, that has brought together the key state-level ministries and agencies involved in the NATO integration process.

The offer of intensified dialogue and development of a NATO Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) are  the result of  successful defense reform and other state level reforms that will enable BiH NATO aspirations.
