DCM Judith Cefkin presents the Faculty of Political Sciences in Sarajevo with 500 copies of the book “Rich Media, Poor Democracy: Communication Politics in Dubious Times”, by Robert W. McChesney

On June 12, 2008, Deputy Chief of Mission Judith Cefkin presented 500 copies of the book “Rich Media, Poor Democracy: Communication Politics in Dubious Times”, by Robert W. McChesney to professors and students of the Faculty of Political Sciences in Sarajevo. This donation represents one part of the U.S. Embassy’s ongoing book translation program. The intent of the book translation program is to encourage and facilitate the reprinting of key works of American traditional and contemporary thought for foreign audiences. Besides this title, the U.S. Embassy has supported the translation and reprinting of another eight titles from the fields of criminal justice, economics, journalism and religion.
