Ambassador English meets Representatives of Srebrenica Mothers' Association

United States Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Charles L. English met with representatives of the Srebrenica Mothers’ Association August 10 to discuss their concerns about the current political atmosphere in Srebrenica including the activities of persons claiming to represent the Ravna Gora Chetnik movement.  Ambassador English recognizes the threat to Srebrenica’s stability posed by nationalist organizations, and reiterated the support of the U.S. Embassy for productive dialogue among the citizens of Srebrenica as a means to build confidence.

The Embassy of the United States of America will continue to work with all citizens of Srebrenica to find common ground in building a secure, stable, and economically viable municipality in which all citizens feel welcome.
