American Cultural Festival in Banja Luka

The Office of Public Affairs of the US Embassy BiH, in cooperation with the Banski Dvor, organized the American Cultural Festival in Banja Luka. From August 31 to September 4, the festival showcased American culture through movies, music and photography. Over the course of five days, festival participants had an opportunity to attend a classical musical performance, see a unique art exhibition by American diplomats in BiH, and attend screenings of American movies.
The opening of the festival on August 31, 2009 at the Banski Dvor Banja Luka included a classical musical performance by US Embassy Sarajevo Assistant Cultural Affairs Officer Roger Webb and BiH/American pianist Zamira Maslesa, followed by a special exhibit of photos of the American landscape taken by U.S. diplomats in BiH titled “America Through Our Eyes.” The exhibit is a unique opportunity for U.S. diplomats to share their culture with BiH.
