US Embassy Sarajevo hosts students and professors from Sarajevo Catholic School Center-Elementary School

The Office of Public Affairs (OPA) of US Embassy Sarajevo had the great pleasure of hosting thirty two students and two professors from Sarajevo Catholic School Center-Elementary School on Monday, October 26, 2009 and spent two hours with them in a very interesting and enlightening discussion.
US Ambassador to BiH Charles English, Janet Miller, Public Affairs Officer, Ronald Hawkins, Cultural Affairs Officer, and other OPA employees, spoke to students about the role of the US Embassy and Office of Public Affairs in Bosnia and Herzegovina and its various programs. Students especially enjoyed talking to Ambassador English and eagerly asked him many questions about his diplomatic career, US foreign policy, the education system in the US, the political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina…etc. Ambassador English and his colleagues answered all the students’ questions and were impressed by their openness. He also expressed his support for the eagerness of these bright, young people to learn about other cultures. This visit, which was part of the Embassy's Elementary/High School Outreach Program, was assessed by students as highly useful and very informative.
OPA Sarajevo looks forward to hosting more schools from throughout BiH!
