Hubert H. Humphrey Program 2009-2010
The U.S. Embassy Office of Public Affairs is pleased to announce the opening of the competition for the 2009-2010 Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship. This program brings mid-career professionals to the United States for 10-months of academic and professional work, providing them with an opportunity to enhance their professional capabilities through participation in specialized non-degree programs developed specifically for small clusters of Humphrey Fellows at selected U.S. Universities.
Humphrey Fellows are provided an overall experience that broadens their perspective, enhances their capability to assume greater career responsibility, and provides the opportunity to establish professional contacts in the US. To accomplish these objectives, programs are designed to include various combinations of coursework, independent projects, internships, seminars, field trips, and consultations with US faculty & experts. Eligibility/Requirements:
- Hold an undergraduate or graduate degree
- Have a minimum 5 years of substantial and professional experience
- Have demonstrated leadership qualities and/or a record of public service
- Commitment to public service
- TOEFL score report (Minimum 525 paper-based, 195 computer-based)

- Detailed Program Plan
- Detailed Personal Statements
- Two (2) letters of Reference (must use Humphrey application forms)
- Certified Transcript(s) and Certified English language translation
- Certified copy of Diploma and Certified English language translation
The Humphrey Fellowship provides: international travel, tuition and university fees, accident/sickness insurance, monthly maintenance allowance, and funding for books and professional activities. The Humphrey Program does not provide financial support for accompanying dependents.
