Each JFDP Fellow will spend one academic semester in the United States beginning in January 2007. Participants are encouraged to forge relationships between US universities and universities in BiH in order to support on-going contact and collaboration. JFDP Fellows work closely with faculty mentors from host universities in the United States to gain an in-depth perspective on their fields of study and to acquire understanding of the U.S. educational system. Throughout their stay, JFDP Fellows observe and listen to courses, attend academic conferences, and whenever possible, will be invited to teach a course or give lectures.
