Opening of American Corner in Mostar

The fifth B&H "American Corner" will open on Friday December 9, 2005 at 13:30, in the Pavarotti Music Center in Mostar.

Ambassador of the United States of America to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Douglas L. McElhaney, and the Director of the Pavarotti Music Center Amela Saric will open the "American Corner" in Mostar.

This project is a result of cooperation between the Pavarotti Music Center and the Office of Public Affairs of the United States Embassy in Sarajevo. The American Corner will make books, Internet, and various programs available to the public in B&H, proviiding the latest information about all aspects of American society.

In accordance with the agreement between the Pavarotti Music Center and the Embassy of the United States of America, the Embassy has financed the acquisition of technical equipment, furniture, books, periodicals, CD-ROMs, and various promotional materials for a total value of 26,000 US dollars.

All media representatives are welcome to attend this event.

All interested media representatives should come to the front of the Pavarotti Music Center on Titova 179, Friday, December 9 at 13:00.
