U.S. European Command Joint Contact Team Program to Host Seminar on Ammunition and Weapons Storage Management

The United States European Command’s Joint Contact Team Program will host a seminar on Ammunition and Weapons Storage Management on December 13-15, 2005 in Sarajevo. The purpose of this seminar is to familiarize officers and NCO’s from the Logistics Commands of BiH Armed Forces with the best practices used by the US Department of Defense and other organizations to manage weapons storage and ammunition stockpiles and facilities.

Members of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) will present a three-day executive level seminar concerning procedures, techniques, and safeguards, the US government uses to manage, control, and oversee its military ammunition supplies and weapons systems.

The Joint Contact Team Program (JCTP) is a bilateral U.S. military outreach program to the newly emerging democracies in Central and Eastern Europe and Republics of the former Soviet Union. The JCTP mission is to develop and conduct a comprehensive program of military to military events that provides the Armed Forces of BiH with exposure to US military methods and techniques, in compliance with legal guidelines, to assist in achieving BiH security goals and objectives.
