U.S. Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Douglas McElhaney said, "The talks are proceeding with detailed discussions on the issues that leaders agreed to discuss at their November 21 meeting with Secretary of State Rice. There has been significant progress made on increasing the efficiency of state-level government, including a package of important decisions on strengthening the Council of Ministers. I have been encouraged by the progress made so far. Given the complexity of the task it will be necessary to continue discussions next week on Wednesday. The United States remains committed to facilitating this process, which is of great importance for the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina."
