The U.S. Embassy takes this opportunity again to emphasize the threat to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s and regional security posed by excess military weapons, munitions, and explosives.   Any such items that were formerly used by the entities for defense purposes and are determined not to continue to serve the future needs of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s national Army should be subject to the control of the BiH Ministry of Defense and destroyed.  The U.S. Embassy supports the Government of BiH’s commitment to conventional weapons destruction and reaffirms its desire to provide support wherever possible.
