Prior to the April 25 session of the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina to consider proposed constitutional changes, the U.S. Embassy would like to take advantage of this opportunity to reiterate the importance of these changes. The constitutional amendments will strengthen the Council of Ministers and the Parliament, and will streamline the office of the Presidency by creating a single President and two Vice Presidents, rotating every 16 months during the Presidency’s four year mandate. We call on the parliamentarians of Bosnia and Herzegovina to take the responsibility for creating a better future for all the citizens of this country.
