Ambassador to Visit BiH Operational Brigades

Over the next two weeks, the United States Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Douglas McElhaney, will be traveling to the sites of the future operational brigade headquarters of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Banja Luka, Capljina and Tuzla and the training site for the Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit in Glamoc.  The Ambassador will be traveling with BiH Minister of Defense Nikola Radovanovic, Chairman of the BiH Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. General Sifet Podzic, and the Senior Military Advisor to NATO HQ, U.S. Brigadier General Louis Weber.

The Ambassador’s trips will highlight substantial progress in BiH defense reform and the creation of the single, unified Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the continued strong military partnership between the United States and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

BiH Ministry of Defense will be providing additional information regarding visits to each of these sites.
