Graduation for Anti-Terrorism Assistance Course

The United States Department of State - Bureau of Diplomatic Security's Anti-Terrorism Assistance Program conducted a course on “Interdicting Terrorist Activities” at the Police Academy of the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs BiH. Participants from five different law enforcement organizations (Federation Bosnia and Herzegovina Police, SIPA, Republika Srpska Police, Sarajevo PD and State Border Service) took part in this course.

The course started on Monday, May 7th, 2007 and closes on Friday, May 18th, 2007 with a presentation of certificates.

This course is classroom based and teaches methods of interdicting and preventing acts of terrorism. Training focused on effective investigative techniques to defeat international or domestic terrorism. The course presented systematic processes and procedures that can be used to conduct terrorism related investigations.

The graduation ceremony will take place on Friday, May 18, 2007 at 10:00 in the Flag Room of the Police Academy Sarajevo. US Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Douglas McElhaney will attend the graduation ceremony and deliver closing remarks.
